Today's Track - Steampunk, 3D Camera

Check out this Wild Wild West-like trend of steam and victorian-era inspired technology and machines.

Naturally, this recalls Jim West to mind and my favorite show from childhood television - the Wild Wild West. I can hear the theme music now.

Also, came across this: LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and 3D from cameras. http://radar.oreilly.com/archives/2006/08/live_motion_3d_video_camera.html

The LIDAR 3d Camera led me to google Noel Gorelick (ASU)
There is an interesting if not very weak conspiracy theory on Noel and an alleged Noel/NASA hoax/coverup regarding images of Cydonia on Mars.

Finally, read up briefly on Eidophor's here. It is a television projection technology of superior quality invented in the 20's and 30's, but has fallen out of use due to newer technologies.
